Bombers fall to Sauk Prarie, 6-5

8/4/19 - Despite out hitting Sauk Prairie 10-5, the Bombers lost a tight game, 6-5, to the second seeded Twins on Sunday. Trailing 5-1 in the eighth inning, the Bombers scored four times to tie the ball game on some timely hitting and walks. In the bottom of the ninth, however, the Twins scored the winning run on an errant throw. Sauk Prairie advances to the Northern Section semifinals where they will host Ashton next Sunday.


Bombers make playoff, at Sauk on 8/4

8/3/19 - In a must win situation in the regular season finale, Black Earth defeated Cross Plains, 7-5, and earned the seventh seed in the Northern Section playoffs. The win not only clinched a playoff berth for the Bombers, but also snapped a 6 game losing streak.The Bombers finished the year with an 8-8 record, and will travel to the second seeded Sauk Prairie Twins on August 4th at 1:00 p.m. Click the link below for full Home Talent League playoff schedule and results.


Bombers slide continues, lose to Waunakee, 4-3

7/21/19 - Waunakee doubled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to edge Black Earth, 4-3. The loss is the Bombers sixth in a row and their record falls to 7-8 on the season. Black Earth ends the regular season against Cross Plains (9-6) next Sunday, July 28th.


Game at Plain canceled; double header this Sunday

7/4/19 - Today?s game in Plain has been canceled due to field conditions from last night?s rain. A make-up date has tentatively been set for Wednesday, July 17th. On Sunday July 7th, Black Earth (7-3) will travel to Middleton (7-1) for a rare double-header. One game is the regularly scheduled game for the 7th, while the other is a make-up game from May 27th, when that game was rained out. Game 1 starts at 11:30 a.m. and game 2 will start soon after game 1 completes. It?s been a very wet year this season with lots of rain-outs. 8 of the Northern Section?s 12 teams have only played 8 or 9 of their 16 games so far this season, and there is only 4 weekends left in the regular season.

Bombers split a pair over weekend

7/1/19 - The Bombers played two games over the weekend against the top two teams in the West division of the Northern Section, going to Muscoda on Friday and then Sauk Prairie on Saturday. Black Earth topped Muscoda 10-2, but dropped the game to Sauk, 13-0. Black Earth is now 7-3 on the season and the next game is July 4th at Plain (0-9).

Bombers edge Cross Plains

6/23/19 - Marcus Caminitti pitched seven innings and drove in two runs with a single in the sixth to give Black Earth the road victory. Casey Owen was 3-for-4 for Black Earth. The win puts Black Earth at 6-2 on the season, just trailing Middleton (7-1) and Ashton (7-2) at the top of the Northern Section East division standings.


Waunakee Routes Black Earth 12-0

6/17/19 - Waunakee pitcher, Dayne Oleson, kept the Black Earth bats quiet, scattering 6 hits in a complete game effort in Waunakee?s 12-0 rout of the Bombers. The loss snapped Black Earth?s 5 game winning streak, and drops their record to 5-2 on the season. Black Earth will be at Cross Plains (4-4) next Sunday, June 23rd.


Bombers Top Ashton, Tied For First Place

6/9/19 - Black Earth took advantage of walks and wild pitches to plate four runs in the eighth inning to take a 5-2 lead, and held off an Ashton rally for a 5-4 win in Ashton on Sunday. The A?s scored 2 runs in the first inning on a couple of hits, but then Bomber pitcher, Marcus Caminitti, settled down and pitched scoreless innings until giving up a home run in the eighth. Ashton left the bases loaded in the eighth, and had the tying run on second base in the ninth before a fly out to center field ended the game. Curtis Barsness and Jed Traxler each had RBI singles for the Bombers.


Bombers Win Fourth In A Row With Win Over Reedsburg

6/2/19 - Curtis Barsness drilled a two out bases loaded single in the third inning to give Black Earth a 6-3 lead, and the Bombers never looked back as they cruised to an 11-3 win. Marcus Caminiti had 4 hits and pitched 6 strong innings to get the win and Tony Caminiti threw 3 shutout innings in relief. Casey Owen, Curtis Barsness and Tony Caminiti all had 2 hits for the Bombers.


Black Earth Rolls Past Plain

5/29/19 - Curtis Young and Toni Caminitti each hit home runs, while Marcus Caminitti struck out 11 batters in 8 innings as the Bombers defeated Plain 9-1. Black Earth improves to 3-1 on the season.


Black Earth will not play in Night League this season

5/13/19 - The Black Earth Bombers have opted out of the HTL's Night League for the 2019 season. Several factors went into the decision, including injuries, player's work schedules, and having to play every game on the road this year. The team felt is was unnecessary to go work and expenses. They are hoping to get back into it next year

Bombers win wild one over Mustangs in Warner Park

5/11/19 - Black Earth took a 4-2 lead into the top of the ninth, but Mazomanie got a couple of singles and a double to go with two Bomber errors and a hit batter to score three times to take a 5-4 lead. However, Mustang pitcher, Tylan Parmen, had control issues and walked four Black Earth batters, and the Bombers scored twice without recording a hit to get the victory. Black Earth improves to 2-1 on the young season.


Bombers knock off Caz to get first win

5/5/19 - Watkins brothers, Danny and Zach, each had 3 hits in Black Earth's 9-1 victory over the Cazenovia Reds. Up just 3-0 in the bottom of the seventh, the Bombers added four insurance runs.


Dells overwhelms Bombers in opener

4/28/19 - Wisconsin Dells out hit Black Earth, 14-6, in the season opener and cruised to an 11-4 win. Four Rivermen had mulitple hits including three each by Dylan Stein and Travis Hudack. Black Earth's Tyler Krause and Toni Caminitti had 4 of Black Earth's 6 hits.


2019 schedule is out

4/13/19 - The 2019 Black Earth Bombers schedule is now available. The Bombers will kick off the season Sunday, April 28th at the Wisconsin Dells Rivermen. Due to the historic flooding from last year, all of Black Earth's games will be away this season. Click below for the full schedule.
