Middleton exploded for six runs in the bottom half of the second inning and never looked back as they routed Black Earth 11-1 in seven innings.

After losing a two run lead in the fourth inning, Black Earth answered with five runs, including a grad slam by Matt Bakkum to take a 7-4 lead. Ashton would pull within a run in the eigth, but the Bombers would again answer when Black Earth's Jason Schrieber hit a two out base clearing double with the bases loaded to help secure a 10-6 victory.

 

Sunday League News

Once again, the Bombers are playing a double weekend the upcome July 4th weekend. On Friday, July 4, Black Earth will be hosting Middleton at 1:00 p.m. Then on Sunday, July 6, Black Earth will travel to Pine Bluff, also for a 1:00 p.m. game time.

 

Night League News

Black Earth snapped a three game Nigth League winning streak with a 6-0 loss to Reedsburg back on June 26. Black Earth's record is now 3-2 in Night League.

The Bombers will not see any Night League action again until July 17, when they host Dodgeville for a 7:30 p.m. game time.

 

Ballplayer News

Due to the field being in use Thursday night, July 3, practice will be held Tuesday, July 1 at 7:00.

Friday, July 4, vs Middleton. Be at the field by 10:30.

Sunday, July 6, at Pine Bluff. Be there at 11:30.
