2008 Recap
It's not often a team outscores their opponent 14-1, and still manage to lose the game. That's what happened to the Bombers in their season debut against the Plain Athletics. It was ruled by the Home Talent League that Black Earth had used an ineligible player during their opening day contest, and the Bombers had to forfiet the game. That was just the start to an up and down season for Black Earth, who never won more that two games in a row, but also never lost more than three in a row. Just as the 07 season ended, Black Earth was bounced from the post season after a round one loss.
The Bombers finished the Home Talent Night Leauge with a winning record (5-4), but it wasn't enough as they missed the playoffs by just one game. Reedsburg won the Western Section with an undefeated record for the second consecutive year, and eventually won the Night League title.
